Salt Cave Inc. defends authentic halotherapy, helping clients identify fake salt rooms and guiding professionals in true salt cave design.

Protecting True Salt Therapy in a Fast-Growing Industry

As more people discover the benefits of salt therapy, the industry is booming, and that’s exciting! But there’s also a growing concern. Many new “salt therapy” products and rooms appearing on the market are simply rooms with a halogenerator in the wall.

At Salt Cave Inc., we welcome the popularity of halotherapy, but we’re deeply concerned about spaces built without an understanding of the roots and science of true salt therapy. Our mission is to advocate for authentic halotherapy, protect consumers, and set the standard for professional salt cave construction.

How to Recognize an Unprofessional Salt Room Setup

If you walk into a salt room and see a window with curtains, AC units mounted in the walls, it’s a red flag.

A professional salt cave should feel natural, a space where air purity, humidity, and salt balance are carefully maintained. When you see common home fixtures, it’s often a sign that the builder didn’t understand or follow true salt therapy principles.

At Salt Cave Inc., we’re constantly upgrading our technology, refining our construction methods, and leading the industry with innovative salt cave designs that deliver real therapeutic results.

When Clients Don’t Feel the Benefits of Salt Therapy

Many people try salt therapy once, feel no change, and conclude that it doesn’t work. In reality, they may have visited a room that wasn’t properly designed or equipped.

Without proper salt dispersion, humidity control, or genuine salt surfaces, a room can’t provide the same microclimate that natural salt caves do.

The result? Clients leave disappointed, assuming halotherapy is ineffective when, in fact, they never experienced true salt therapy at all.

We encourage everyone to research and visit a few authentic salt caves before deciding. The difference is noticeable in the quality of the air, the relaxation, and the rejuvenating effects that follow a proper session.

Be Informed: Work With a Professional, Not an Imitation

Whether you’re a wellness center owner or a client seeking the real thing, being informed is key.

If you’re not sure your salt cave or salt room is built correctly, send us photos. In most cases, we can tell instantly if it meets professional standards.

If you’re interested in getting involved in salt therapy or building your own cave, work with a professional with credentials and real experience. Completing a quick online webinar doesn’t make someone an expert. At Salt Cave Inc., we’ve been shaping the halotherapy movement in the U.S. from its roots, guided by Dr. Margaret Smiechowski’s pioneering work in authentic salt cave construction.

We’re here to ensure salt therapy remains true to its origins and delivers the healing results it’s meant to provide.
